Research, training, and resources on Emotional Regulation, Connection, and Resilience. Grounded in the ARCHR²™ framework and thirty years of clinical practice, our work turns brain-based science into real, durable change for clinicians and the people they treat.
Syntropy (from the Greek syn-, “together,” and trope, “tendency”) denotes a tendency toward order, organisation, and convergence — the countervailing principle to entropy’s tendency toward disorder and dispersal. The term is most associated with the biochemist Albert Szent-Györgyi and was later popularised by Buckminster Fuller. We use it to name the Institute’s orientation: building coherent, self-organising, resilient human systems rather than treating symptoms of their breakdown in isolation.
Every course, paper, and clinical formulation the Institute publishes traces back to one six-stage model of regulation and change.
Naming what is actually happening in the body and mind, before trying to change it.
Restoring a workable window of autonomic and emotional stability.
Rebuilding safe, coherent relationships as a platform for change.
Addressing the origin of the pattern, not only its present-day expression.
Making new patterns durable under everyday conditions, not just in session.
Building capacity that compounds — able to meet the next disruption, not just this one.
ARCHR²™ integrates polyvagal theory, predictive processing, memory reconsolidation, and attachment research into a single applied sequence — the Institute’s equivalent of an integrative clinical model, taught through PRAXIS Connect and documented through ERSA Institute below.
CPD-accredited training in ARCHR²™ and its component protocols, for clinicians who want the framework in their own practice.
The Institute’s scholarly press and public-policy voice — free CPD reading that leads into PRAXIS's paid, accredited training.
Live attendance plus a catch-up recording, one ticket. Early-bird pricing rewards booking ahead. Details to be announced.
Founding Director of the Syntropy Foundation™ and Principal Clinician at Keystone Therapy, Dr Halls developed the ARCHR²™ framework across more than thirty years of clinical practice. Keystone Therapy remains the Institute’s clinical base — the source of the case material, outcomes, and vignettes that ground every course and paper the Institute publishes.
